Where are the Good Guys?

I'm sitting on the bus after work watching it fill up for the 40 min ride home. At the last stop one guy and two ladies get on and all but the last lady gets a seat. Nobody offers to stand for the LONG ride home so I quickly show some good old fashioned Southern hospitality and offer her my seat. The issue I have with the guys, even older guys, is that the guy that got on first at the last stop should have let the ladies on first. Then nobody would have to offer up their seat. Second, I can't believe the guys right next to her just ignored her. Guys out there, if you want to be real MEN then learn how to put others first and not your own dumb ass. I fear for how the next generation is being raised if this is a typical role model and influencer of that generation. I also fear for where our nation is headed too.

After Christmas Traffic

I have know idea what it is about the holidays, but people sure did forget how to drive after them. I think the week after New Years has had the most accidents not related to drinking and driving. Come on people, pay attention to the road and get off your iPad while driving. Oh, and a little common courtesy wouldn't hurt either. Another weird thing about this year is that the gym isn't packed with New Years resolution people. I guess the economy us so bad that they don't want to pay all the fees to fake like they ate going to get in shape this year. Cudos to all y'all that are trying to be healthier year round and not just for a few months during the new year.

Room to breath

As much as I love family, I find that sometimes I need time away from family to breath.  I'm not talking time away from my wife and baby, but time away from parents and siblings.  I guess there is a season for spending a lot of time with them, but I now think that season has come to and end.  I'm not sure what the new season will look like, but I can't wait to find out.  All that being said, life is still good and I'm blessed to have such a wonderful family.
